Poop poop!

This post is solely for the purpose of showing off. No more Mole! Now I am MRS TOAD!! We have a new car. Yes, new, as in 8 delivery miles on the clock. It's metallic blue. It has gizmos hitherto unknown to (this wo)man. And it's a CONVERTIBLE!!!

(Oh yes, and we had a lovely dawn the other day.)

Very nice indeed, but isn't it a bit swanky for an isles car? I suppose the big test is whether you can get a sheep in the back.

Diana, how could you? Get a new car, I mean? You have deserted the bangers' club, just as our newer (although still banger class) Audi Estate has een flogged off in favour of a blue E reg 2cv that sounds like a cross between a rocket and a steam engine in trouble! My old Audi still lords it in the car park. Welcome to the lovely motor! Poop poop indeed!

So gutted that we can't be at the wedding. I'd been looking forward to it for ages, but we're all in the same position at the glorious DGS. Sorry for withdrawing previous post. I'm so out of practice that I repeated the post in a vain effort to put the 'b' on 'been'.

Oooo it's lovely. Got a name?

Thank you, kind people. Some folk get a persion of £699,000 p.a., others a convertible car. Name of Persephone. (What else?)

I like the name - good and classical, and a GIRL! My ancient Audi Estate rejoices in the sarky name of 'The Silver Barracuda', after the pleasure boat on the Thames. G. had to spend 300 quid on it last weekend, but it's cheaper than buying a new car!

Nice car but a bit "posh" for Orkney!

Just found your blog courtesy of Malc. Gather you are getting married this week - hope all goes well and you have a brilliant time. I see you are from Dartford - well I too am an escapee from the South - Swanley! No one has ever heard of it (except on the M25) but you may be the one person in Orkney who has! good luck with your new life!

I'm another escapee from that area. Belvedere, but I only made it as far as Crewe! Enjoy married life!
